Yoga to help with stress & trauma
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted a blog, and even now I’m having a hard time. So this month I decided to practice self-compassion and love, and gave myself permission to make a video instead.
2020 was a tough year, and even though we’re in 2021, the energies are intense and at times unsteady. I know that I’m not the only one feeling this, so this month’s “vlog” is dedicated to helping you feel more grounded through the practice of yoga. The two videos below will help you get back to a regulated state when in the fight, flight, freeze or fawn response mode.
The first video, “5 Tips to Help You Feel Grounded”, I go over different techniques that can get you back to a regulated state.
The second video, “Yoga Class – Through a Trauma Informed Lens”, was created for anyone who has experienced trauma. This class does not replace any medical help or advice, it is a tool to help you reconnect to your body. Trauma and stress can cause you to disassociate from your mind and your body and this class helps to bring awareness back by providing slow, intentional movements.
